Save Money using Pricing in Proportion
For businesses who send out a lot of unfolded A4 mail, postal costs are set to rise unless they take action. Under the proposed PiP pricing structure each second class large letter (A4) will cost 35p.
However, just by putting a single fold in the document and sending it in a smaller envelope this will be classified as a standard letter and be charged at 21p, a saving of 14p a letter.
It doesn't sound much but for a company sending out 200 letters a day this would be a cost saving of over £7000 a year.
This cost saving would need to be offset by the labour cost of folding the letters. By using a folder / inserter to fold the letters and put them in the envelopes for you, the business would not only reap the profits of PiP but also reduce the labour costs in the mailroom.
